About Dr. Silky Jain

Best Paediatric Haemoto-Oncologist In Delhi NCR

“Dr. Silky Jain is a Senior Paediatric Haemato-Oncologist and Bone Marrow Transplant Expert, currently working as an Assistant Professor at Post Graduate Institute of Child Health Hospital, Noida. With the purpose to improve cure rates among children suffering from complex blood diseases and malignancies, Dr. Silky believes in adhering to national and international protocols while extending empathy and understanding towards children suffering from rare diseases like cancer.

Having a rich decade-long experience in the rare arena of Paediatric Haemato-Oncology, Dr. Silky completed her undergraduate and postgraduate training from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi followed by fellowship from Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi. To refine her understanding further in the field, Dr. Silky gained in-depth knowledge from one of the most reputed tertiary care institutions in India, and the Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.

For her path-breaking prospective research work on skeletal health of survivors of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2015, Dr. Silky was awarded the first prize in the annual conference of Paediatric Haematology Oncology Chapter of Indian Academy of Paediatrics (PHOCON). Further, Dr Silky has several publications in indexed journals to her credit and has participated in diverse national and international conferences of prestige. She is also a credible reviewer for Paediatric Haemato-Oncology related articles in the reputed peer-reviewed journals.

A flag bearer of ‘Healthcare for All’, Dr. Silky is steadfastly working towards extending quality treatment to child cancer victims living in areas that have a dearth of specialized facilities for managing complex cancers and blood disorders. She harbours a staunch intent of making iatrical assistance affordable in India, including diverse treatment types available for bone marrow transplants, the costs of which are often prohibitive.

Dr. Silky is significantly invested in raising awareness around the importance of early diagnosis and multi-disciplinary treatments available for paediatric cancers among children. The shortage of trained paediatric haemato-oncologists coupled with the lack of standard treatment protocols and suboptimal outcomes, have fuelled Dr. Silky’s purpose to make a greater difference in the lives of children around the world.

Being a mother herself, Dr. Silky’s emotional capabilities allow her to establish a healthy rapport with children and parents. Owing to much higher cure rates in children compared to adults, Dr. Silky believes that it’s rewarding to nurture lives of the innocent and be able to contribute in every way possible to protect the long life that’s ahead of these young victims.”
